Guidance from The Prophet Sallellahu Alaihuwa Sallam

Hadrat Anas bin Malik (r.a.) reported: ‘The supplication most often recited by the Prophet Sallellahu Alaihuwa Sallam was: “Allahumma atina fid-dunya hasanatan, wa fil-akhirati hasanatan, wa qina adhaab-annar (O our Lord! Give us in this world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and save us from the punishment of the Fire).”‘
Related by Bukhari and Muslim. Hadith quoted from Riyad-us-Saliheen
Commentary:
The Messenger of Allah Sallellahu Alaihuwa Sallam preferred to make supplications which were short and general in nature; and there is no better supplication one can make than beseeching the Lord Most Gracious to bestow upon them good in this world, good in the Hereafter, and safety from the punishment of the Hell Fire.

It is reported that the Messenger of Allah Sallellahu Alaihuwa Sallam would recite this supplication more often than any other supplication

SubhanAllah, this is one of my favorite supplications! Whenever I’m tense, I keep on reciting this and eventually I feel relaxed and at ease.

    I like this verse also.

The complete one is ‘ 2:201 And there are men who say: “Our Lord! Give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and defend us from the torment of the Fire!” ‘

    From Surah Baqarah

    ~ SubhanaAllah!

House in Paradise!

Narrated AbuUmamah: The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: I guarantee a house in the surroundings of Paradise for a man who avoids quarrelling even if he were in the right, a house in the middle of Paradise for a man who avoids lying even if he were joking, and a house in the upper part of Paradise for a man who made his character good.(Sunan Abu Dawood,Book 41, Number 4782)
