SubhanAllah, very interesting! While I was reading the “dates” part, I just realized that we never ran out of date in our home since Ramadan last year. And we still have lots of dates from Madinah, alhumdulillah 🙂

    ~Alhumdulillah:)

“I just realized that we never ran out of date in our home since Ramadan last year.”

Same here. Except we don’t eat them very frequently outside of Ramadan. 😦

    Great post!

Olive oil IS actually very good. I had some acne popping up and because adult acne is usually resistant to medication, the dermatologist told me to clean my face with OLIVE OIL (Ew, I know!) at night and then just wipe it off with a warm towel. And the results are amazing!

I was thinking if it can do this well with topical application, it must be really really good for our bodies when its actually getting absorbed properly.

~ MashaAllah, Thanks for sharing your experience with positive results. Being said by our prophet Muhammad Sallelahu Alaihuwa Sallam, it’s indeed going to be benificial, because he always spoke truth, SubhanAllah.

    Assalaamu ‘alaykum,

I contact you to inform you that the “hadiths” mentioned here are not saheeh.

Many Muhaddithin (masters in Hadith) have stated that the ahadith mentioned on the benefits of fruits like the melon, pomegranate etc are all unreliable or even fabricated.(Kashful Khafaa 1/278,1/423, al-Manar an-Munif Pg.128)

For more informations please see: http://mawdu.wordpress.com/2010/02/23/the-hadith-of-the-benefits-of-some-fruitsvegetables/

so it is not permissible to attribute it the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) or to believe what it says.
Now please don’t get me wrong, you can perfectly eat the fruits/vegetable mentioned, but just don’t say the prophet [saws] said this and this on them whereas it is false.

Now that you know the narrations are not reliable please stop these chains and most importantly PROPAGATE THE TRUTH (pass this blog’s address for example)

Remember the hadith which says ‘Whoever tells lies about me deliberately, let him take his place in Hell.” (Bukhaari and Muslim)

~Jazakamollah Khair brother, I edited the post to be on the safe side. I really don’t have authenticity to prove these are from Hadiths. Thanks for correcting me 🙂

    Wassalamu ‘alaykum.

House in Paradise!

Narrated AbuUmamah: The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: I guarantee a house in the surroundings of Paradise for a man who avoids quarrelling even if he were in the right, a house in the middle of Paradise for a man who avoids lying even if he were joking, and a house in the upper part of Paradise for a man who made his character good.(Sunan Abu Dawood,Book 41, Number 4782)
