We Can Make the Difference

BOYCOTT ISRAELI PRODUCTS AND THEIR SUPPORTERS

An Appeal to all Citizens of the World

As citizens of our individual countries, we at times become extremely frustrated by the policies of our governments that we deem unjust. We oftentimes feel powerless to change them as more and more of the governments and the politicians who run them become increasingly subservient to global corporate and banking interests. There is, however, one powerful weapon that if utilized collectively can accomplish far greater positive change than marches, protests and demonstrations. The weapon is the boycott of well targeted products.

Today, as the world community begins to see evidence of the barbaric massacre of Palestinians at Gaza by the Butcher and murderous Zionist Army, one is compelled to just and moral action. We individually have the power of choice to buy one product over another or to simply forgo a purchase entirely. If more and more people around the world do the same, the pressure will become powerful enough to force a positive change. We each can also help by asking our family members and friends to do the same.

Below are products and brands of corporations and businesses that are helping Israel to continue their racist apartheid and the War on Gaza. We are asking you to boycott these products. The products and brands have been well researched. Each of the companies have ties to Israel and support their policies against the Palestinian people. As an example, Estée Lauder’s chairman, Ronald Lauder, served as the Chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations and is the current President of the Jewish National Fund (JNF) – a quasi-governmental agency whose main function is to legitimize Israeli occupation of Palestinian land. Ronald Lauder is a hardcore Zionist and his views are often more extreme then those of the Israeli government.

Other examples are:

KIMBERLY-CLARK
In 1998 Mr. Robert P. Van der Merwe, chairman of Kimberly-Clark Europe received the Jubilee Award by the Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. This is the highest tribute ever awarded by the “State of Israel” in recognition of those individuals and organizations, that through their investments and trade relationships, have done the most to strengthen the Israeli economy.

COCA-COLA
From 1966 onward Coca-Cola has been a staunch supporter of Israel. Recently the Government of Israel Economic Mission honored Coca-Cola at the Israel Trade Award Dinner for its continued support of Israel for the last 30 years and for refusing to abide by the Arab League boycott of Israel.

NESTLE
Swiss food giant Nestle will set up a global research and development center for snack foods next year in Sderot, a town in Israel’s Negev desert, the Maariv newspaper reported on Sunday. Nestle owns 50.1 percent of Israeli food maker Osem Investments and the two together produce snack foods at a plant in Sderot.

INTEL
Intel is one of the biggest supporters of Israel. Their very first development center outside the US was opened in Haifa in 1974. Since then they have continued pouring investment in to Israel. By year 2000 they employed over 4000 Israelis. Exports from their Lachish-Qiryat Gat plant in israel total $3 million a day at peak capacity – approximately $ 1 billion a year. The Intel plant at “Qiryat Gat” is built on land Israel confiscated from the Palestinian villages of Iraq al Manshiya. Iraq al Manshiya was a village of 2000 people living in 300 houses with two mosques and one school. The original Palestinian inhabitants were terrorized out of the village and then the whole village was razed to the ground to prepare the way for the new Israeli settlement of Qiryat Gat. Today the remaining population from Iraq al Manshiya is still not allowed to return.

SARA LEE
In 1998, Mr. Lucien Nessim of Sara Lee Personal Products received the Jubilee Award by the Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. This is the highest tribute ever awarded by the “State of Israel” in recognition of those individuals and organizations, that through their investments and trade relationships, have done the most to strengthen the Israeli economy

DISNEY
The Disney Company is owned by Jewish Mogul Michael Eisner. He owns a vast media empire that includes the ABC television network, numerous news dailies, national magazines, Hollywood film companies and a large number of radio stations. One radio station in Los Angeles, KABC 790 AM recently broadcast comments by Jewess Gloria Alred to the effect that the Islamic prisoners at Guantanamo should be tortured by having their “balls” extracted with pliers in order to make them talk. The news and commentaries made through Michael Eisner’s media octopus are extremely Islamophobic and anti-Palestinian.

That’s a very long list! Good thing Costa isn’t included.

Seriously though, not buying from these companies is the least we can do to not support the barbaric acts of Israel.

~ Otherwise it’s like we are helping them to kill our brothers and sisters.

I don’t agree and think boycott will achieve anything – thousands of Muslims do honorable work in these companies.

What Muslims should be doing is focusing on their own development. For example in the whole Muslim world there are not as many universities as there is in USA alone. Education, knowledge is severely lacking.

~ I don’t agree either with your comments, Haleem. Boycotting products makes a huge difference we can’t even imagine. Take for an example, the Danish products have been boycotted few months ago and with that effect,Denmark losses has reached to Two Billion Euros….is that a Joke?

Now let’s come to your other point of thousands of muslims working in these companies. Allah Subhanawata’la is the risq provider, he is the sustainer. Alhumdulillah, am sure those muslims will not bother to leave their jobs in cost of their brothers lives getting ruined on the other part. Otherwise they become the integral part of these nasty resources.

Regarding the Universities and Education: Brother, there is no relation between having number of universities makes the person more knowledgable.

Here are some links for your reference, regarding boycotting and their results:

    People have options, it’s either:

    a) go against the boycott and save jobs and economic loss.
    b) support the boycott and take a stand against the injustice.

I understand that many people, including non-Americans and Muslims, may own shares and interest in these companies, but that really is secondary..

Is that what we really care for: money? What about justice, human right, values, and principles?

Ma’mor Osman, secretary-general of the Malaysian Muslim Consumers Association said, “A boycott is the best way for us to protest Zionist cruelty against the Palestinian people as consumers can weaken the economy of countries like Israel and its ally, the US.”

Personally, if I know that a certain company is financing war against humanity, I would definitely opt to NOT buy from them, let alone work for them.

Agree with ya Masood bro. Boycotting does help. One by one obviously. It’s Israeli attacks and it’s reaction we are talking about here so what Muslims lack and what not is a different topic but still very important.

Been talking about this on my show .. will get it out even more this week.

~ How to reach you on AIR? Desperate to participate in your shows bro.

Salaams. While I applaud your initiative I think you are mistaken here.

Personally I don’t see how this boycott will work – especially as many of the companies you listed are not really Jewish companies or even supportive of Israel. The same list is sometimes used by supporters of Greenpeace as list of companies that deny Global Warming, and so on!

Second, boycotting Denmark is different from boycotting these brands, pretty much none of them are Israeli brands or companies anyways.

To have an effective boycott of Israel supporting companies, first you need to list 4 or 5 big companies whose presidents have publicly supported Israel and promoted genocide in Gaza / Palestine.

Chapters/Indigo books and its leaders Heather Reisman and Gerry Shwartz are a good example.

Second, give alternatives to those companies that either support your political views or at least doesn’t harm them. For Chapters, amazon.com is a good alternative.

Third, let those companies know why you are boycotting them.

Having a wide boycott without any viable alternative is a flawed protest, in my opinion.

    ~ Walaikum Salam, bro
I am just making my contribution with some efforts and knowledge which I possess. Let me reply to your points raised in this comment.

I would really like to know the difference. If you are sure that many of these listed
companies are not a Israeli brands or it’s supportive to Israel then please let me know which are those brands in the list.

3.Need to list 4 or 5 big companies whose presidents have publicly supported Israel and promoted genocide in Gaza / Palestine.

Lets count down some big companies and their higher officials supported Israel:

    Johnson & Johnson

In 1998, Mr. Roger S. Fineon behalf of Johnson & Johnson, received the Jubilee Award by the Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu.
This is the highest tribute ever awarded by the “State of Israel” in recognition of those individuals and organizations, that through their investments
and trade relationships, have done the most to strengthen the Israeli economy

    Marks & Spencer

From is birth M&S has been linked inextricably to Zionism.
In fact in a book on M&S, Lord Marcus Sieff long time Chairman of M&S – wrote that one of the fundamental objectives of M&S is to aid
the economic development of Israel (Management: The Marks & Spencer Way, Weidenfield & Nicolson, 1990). M&S supports Israel with approximately $233 million
in trade every year (Jerusalem Report, 5 June 2000) .

    Nokia

Nokia have started to invest heavily in Israel.
Nokia general manager Lars Wolf said in an interview with The Jerusalem Post (4 March 2001): “We are really focusing on Israel from all perspectives, because we
have an internal project called ‘Project Israel’ which means we are looking at Israel from a networks perspective, from the perspective
of Nokia Ventures Organization, and also from the perspective of Nokia Research Center “.

    AOL Time Warner

ICQ, Warner Bros, CNN, AOL, Times magazine

“We invest in Israel because Israel is a great investment, Tapping the

reative force and entrepreneurial energy of the people of Israel has

been extremely beneficial” said AOL Time Warner vice chairman

    Kenneth Novack.

AOL allocates 30% of its investment portfolio in Israel. The buy up of

Israeli company Mirabilis, creators of ICQ for $287m in 1998 forms

part of AOLs investment in Israel.

In 1998, Mr. Ted Leonsis, CEO of AOL studios received the Jubilee

Award by the Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. This is the highest

tribute ever awarded by the “State of Israel” in recognition of those

individuals and organizations that through their investments and trade

relationships have done the most to strengthen the Israeli economy..

    and many many more….

4,5,and 6th: Giving Alternatives, letting companies know about boycotting their products and efforts go in vain:

4th: Giving Alternatives: Every product has a competitor in the market in today’s world and I guess it’s easy to mention the product to boycott,
    rather mentioning it’s alternatives.

5th: Let’s company know we are boycotting them: Ultimate results and news will give them a clear idea about this picture. The simple this is to spread the news
and the best thing is that our leaders ( I am not a Leader here), should announce about boycotting, like the Malaysian President/Prime Minister did recently announcing Coke ban
    in Malaysia.

6th: The boycotting is already in full swing already and thanks to the people who understands the motive behind it, Jazakallah Khair

House in Paradise!

Narrated AbuUmamah: The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: I guarantee a house in the surroundings of Paradise for a man who avoids quarrelling even if he were in the right, a house in the middle of Paradise for a man who avoids lying even if he were joking, and a house in the upper part of Paradise for a man who made his character good.(Sunan Abu Dawood,Book 41, Number 4782)
