The Rocking Driver

Dawood—–Don’t worry he is not the underworld Don or belongs to the “D” Company but he was our office van driver. We usually used to appoint him in the replacement to our official driver whenever he goes for annual vacations and our scary days start :(. We all feel like to be in a Roller Coaster :(.

The reason behind being scary is his reckless driving, which sometimes tend to hold our breath….oh sorry almost all the time.

The main culprit in this show is the FM Radio……Surprised?????

But YESSSSS, that’s the reason behind his rash driving because he keeps the accelarator directly propotional to the kind of song goes on in FM, in other words the more rocking song is the more terrific speed. I always wish that the FM should play “Gazals” in that one hour driving…. atleast he will be in control;)

We dont have any other choice rather to bear him till our other driver return from his vacations. Many times we narrowly escaped with accidents, but unfortunately met with one accident and surprisingly it was not his mistake this time but the poor pathan cycler. We somehow managed to pacify the situation. Then we had a little feeling that atleast now he will be careful in the future but……….repeated the same old story.

We all blasted him once when he was about to hit a car with steep turnings but he always have excuses….”It’s not my mistake, am just going in 100Kmph speed” but the fact is that the speed limit of that particular road is just 80Kmph…hmmmm

I completely agree with you mate! Read my previous post here that talks about the exact same thing:

Yep, I read your post and it’s surprisingly almost the same. Thanks for stopping by 🙂

The thrill of driving fast is amazing though. As I get older though, it doesn’t seem as satisfying anymore.

I agree but also depends on the type of car you are speeding with….Ferrari, Lamborgini etc. Atleast not a 15 seater Van;)

True 🙂 that’s exactly what happens, if you get anyone like Dawood again play songs from 1930s or something like that. Am sure that will put him off driving for good.. let alone driving fast. Or maybe he might drive even faster to reach the destination 😛

LOL! tht’s another fact he can even try to reach fast to the destination…..cant trust him;)

100 in an 80 zone, that’s not too fast 😛 I love driving, and like to think of myself as a “good” driver, haha. Not sure of driving/road conditions there though, so 20 over, could be hazardous. Zoom Zoom!

Salam and Welcome back to wordpress, Amir:)
well…..100 in an 80 Zone is just his prediction btw;) may be moving faster thn tht…. Shaikh Zayed Road has the fastest moving tracks and he goes in full swing with 140kmph even though the speed limit is just 100 over there;). He might be having his own calculation to uncheck the rule:)

House in Paradise!

Narrated AbuUmamah: The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: I guarantee a house in the surroundings of Paradise for a man who avoids quarrelling even if he were in the right, a house in the middle of Paradise for a man who avoids lying even if he were joking, and a house in the upper part of Paradise for a man who made his character good.(Sunan Abu Dawood,Book 41, Number 4782)
